Sony proved to be one of the many pleasant surprises this PMA.

Amidst rife speculation that their pro-level camera will be full-frame, Sony didn't disappoint by first announcing their current development with regards to the full frame sensor just days before PMA. They displayed the body of the camera, together with a whole range of lenses which we can only assume will be launched together with the new camera.

There weren't any names or model specification attached to the lenses. We can, however, say this: Wait for it. The full frame camera, which will make Sony the third industry player in the full frame market, will be launched later this year.

Sony also launched their two new entry-level models, to partner their recently launched A100 replacement, the A200. These models come equipped with Live View and an extendable screen, making it easy for you to tilt the screen up and down to shoot from various high and low angles.

The A350 features a 14.2 effective megapixel CCD sensor, 2.5 fps continuous shooting speed, a 2.7-inch, 230,400-dot resolution, extendable LCD screen, and a Smart Teleconverter function for 1.4x and 2.0x magnification with no reduction in image quality (file size is, however, reduced).
