Gibson’s very own game of tones throne.
Drones are everywhere here at CES Asia 2016. Like everywhere.
Here’s a cute toy that’s like but not really a drone. The PowerUp 3.0 is a paper plane you can control with a smartphone. This version doesn’t have a camera, but apparently the next one will.
VR is also everywhere, but most of them look just like fancier versions of Google Cardboard; holding containers for smartphones.
Or you get devices like this, which aren’t VR at all, but simply video players worn over your eyes.
And then these guys. Go VR big or go home, eh?
He’s on a (VR) boat!
Hey, is that Google Glas-err, no. It’s actually something similar made by AltoTech.
Now this is pretty cool, an Iron Man bust that’s actually - wait for it - a Bluetooth speaker! Made by the company Camino from Hong Kong.
Prefer a War Machine or Hulk Buster speaker? They’ve got that here too.
If you’re more of a Star Wars fan, Camino has Darth Vader and Storm Trooper Bluetooth speakers as well. Gonna be weird hearing Darth Vader’s head croon Jay Chou songs.
Hexa is a cute little six-legged robot from the company Vincross, which runs on software based on Linux. This little guy can apparently even scale steps higher than its height, thanks to its many legs. Vincross’ app lets you program and share actions for Hexa, including a cute little dance that I wish I could show you, but China’s Great Firewall blocks YouTube. The company is now seeking funding to mass produce Hexa, and they say that their Kickstarter campaign will be up within a week or so.
