Dell thinks it has the hardware and tools to cater to the needs of various working professionals. Creatives will get ample use from the Dell Canvas, a 27-inch screen that comes with a stylus and puck-like tool called the Totem. The Canvas is meant to be hooked up to a separate PC and serve as an extension of your current workstation.
The main heat-generating components in the Canvas have been shifted to the top right, so artists won't be bothered by heat from the screen. The actions of the Totem actually affect that of the digital pen in real-time, and you can change the color or width of the brush strokes as you draw by manipulating the Totem.
The Canvas is probably best paired with another display, even though it can function as a PC's sole screen as well. Unfortunately, Dell has not yet revealed any details on price yet, but it did say availability would be sometime in Q2 2017. Seen here with the Canvas is Dell's Precision 5720 AIO, which comes with a total of 10 speakers (six on the front, and four bottom-firing subwoofers).
The 15-inch Dell Precision 5520 workstation notebook can be equipped with up to an Intel Xeon E3-1505M v6 processor (3.0GHz, 8MB L3 cache) and NVIDIA Quadro M1200 GPU, making it a good choice for content creators on the go. Dell showed off the notebook running the Uniengine Heaven benchmark without the GPU hitting 100 per cent load.
The Precision 5520 shares some unmistakable design features (including the carbon fiber palm rest) with Dell's XPS series of consumer notebooks, and is supposedly the world's thinnest 15-inch workstation at 11.1mm thick, according to Dell.
Here's what Dell envisions for the desk-centric worker who doesn't move around much throughout the day. These workers demand maximum comfort in confined spaces, which is why Dell has decked out the space with a wireless keyboard and mouse to minimize clutter.
The Dell Vostro 3468 is a 14-inch notebook targeted at small business users who require reliable machines and robust security. It can be equipped with up to an Intel Core i7-7500U processor (2.7GHz, 4MB L3 cache), 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and an AMD Radeon R5 M420 graphics card.
Dell has a selection of wireless accessories, docks, and 2-in-1 devices for the mobile road warrior as well.
The XPS 13 2-in-1 stands out among the machines targeted at on-the-go professionals. It packs much of what made the original XPS 13 so popular into a thinner and lighter convertible body, adding a new level of versatility in the process.
Those who constantly find themselves on the move for work prize connectivity, convenience, and portability above all else. This means lightweight notebooks, wireless peripherals, and docks that can be connected and disconnected quickly.
The Dell Latitude 2-in-1 is a business-focused convertible with nifty features for convenience, such as button triggers on the bottom that automatically release the kickstand when the device is pushed against the table surface.
