Olympus' Booth

Olympus' Booth

The outdoor photography enthusiasts will be crowding the Olympus booth once more with its varied offering of its favorite Mju series for underwater and rugged photography, and we jostled with the crowd to present the select few bargains from Olympus.

The Mju 840, available in four colors, comes as an 8-megapixel camera with 5X optical zoom, dual image stabilization and advanced face detection. Priced at $449, free gifts for this deal includes three 2GB xD cards, an additional lithium batter, camera case, mini tripod and a screen protector.

From first impressions, you would have guessed that the Mju 1030SW holds true to Olympus' direction of rugged cameras for any situations, with its 10-megapixel sensor with 3.6X optical zoom and equipped for waterproofing up to a 10m depth and shockproof up to 2m on top of its $649 pricing.

Of course, if you aren't the adventurous sort who'll expose your camera to the elements, there's also a cheaper alternative in the form of the Mju 1010 at a price of $529, which sports a similar 10-megapixel imaging sensor, 7X optical zoom and dual image stabilization for trickier shots at low shutter speeds.

Once more, we see another rugged offering from Olympus with its Mju 850SW compact digital camera, equipped with digital image stabilization and is waterproof up to 3m, shockproof up to 1.5m and able to withstand temperatures of up to -10 degrees Celsius. All this, and more freebies, for the price of $499.

And if you wish to hone your targeting skills, the Olympus SP570UZ, with its 20X optical zoom on top of its 10-megapixel imaging sensor and 26mm Wide Angle Lens, should return you with some amazing images, and is tagged just shy of $800 (which is $799).
