All things said and done, the new Ion platform is just a refresh of sorts to adapt to the new system architecture these days. What the "Ion" brand brings to the plate remains and it is probably what matters most to the layman who just identifies his needs by what he does and what he hopes to experience. In essence 'turbo-boosting' Intel's Atom processor based systems with additional capabilities for not much more cost. We end the Next Generation NVIDIA Ion overview with a few products that will be available real soon bearing the new Ion hardware:-

Acer's new Aspire One 532G is configured with an Intel Atom N450 and the NVIDIA Ion with 512MB of frame buffer. It has the same 10.1-inch screen with a 720p resolution support along with a multi-touch touchpad, multi card reader and Windows Home Premium.

The larger 12-inch ASUS EeePC 1201PN equipped with a dual-core Atom D510 and a faster variant of the new Ion GPU with 16 shader cores.

Nettops like the Zotac ZBOX HD-ID11 will also have similar specs to the ASUS netbook above such as the Intel Atom D510 and the better specced Ion 2 graphics engine.

Yet another nettop you can expect with NVIDIA's Next Generation Ion is the ASUS EeeBox EB1501.

Over on the all-in-one PC machines, the Lenovo C200 is one of the few to bear the Ion 2 GPU, but there will be more to come soon.
