The PowerMate DL T8000 w
Being the first major PC manufacturer to tout a consumer water-cooled desktop PC, NEC is naturally optimistic of the PowerMate DL T8000 w. Designed in its entirely in Japan, the water-cooling unit in the PowerMate DL T8000 w fits snugly into the system without all the messy piping that DIY users have to contend with. However, the main points NEC wanted to drive through was a high-performance, maintenance free system that operates with a whisper. That's right, the PowerMate DL T8000 w is almost inaudible with a noise level of 30 dBA or less (though of course, noise levels may vary under different loads).
Besides shrinking radiator cooling technology into a consumer desktop, NEC is also determined to deliver a PC with superior entertainment and performance features. As standard features, the PowerMate DL T8000 w comes with two 250GB SATA HDDs in RAID 0 mode, TV Tuner with time shift functions, Bose Companion 3 speaker system and a very nice set of card slots in the front that doesn't only read SD/MS/xD memory cards, but also works with PCMCIA and the new Express Card standard.
The PowerMate DL T8000 w will be available by the end of September and comes with a three-year standard warranty, though users can opt for an extended warranty program up to five years.
