Motorola Acquires Soundbuzz and the ROKR Heritage Lives On!

Motorola has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Soundbuzz Pte. Ltd., which fits into its plan to enhance Motorola's music delivery capabilities in the Asian context. The acquisition is expected to close within the first quarter of 2008. For more than two years now, Motorola has been delivering mobile music content to consumers in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. With the acquisition of Soundbuzz, Motorola will be allowed to further expand these capabilities into countries such as India, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
