Macworld San Francisco 2007 (Expo Countdown)

In and Around Macworld

In and Around Macworld

Come morning of the next day, this area will be packed with people waiting to enter the hall for Steve Job's keynote. If you want to get a good seat, it's better to arrive early. Since it's still relatively empty now, maybe we should just camp here for the night? If we did, this article wouldn't have gone online!

The Macworld Blast! Attendee Party will take place on Tuesday, January 9th from 8 to 11 p.m. Each ticket costs US$40, but the bad news is that all tickets were long sold out. Notice that bigwigs like Microsoft and Google are two of the sponsors of this party.

"The first 30 years were just the beginning. Welcome to 2007." This two-line slogan is everywhere around Macworld. We expect most of these banners to be replaced by banners showcasing the new Apple products after the keynote. Hopefully on Tuesday we'll get to see what's that light behind the Apple logo.

What's so special about these escalators? Well, they lead to the gates of Mac heaven - or rather, the exhibit hall that is one level below. About 400 companies and hundreds of new products are expected to be showcased in the halls.

Macworld Digital Lifestyle Experience. You can also do your expo and conference registrations here. The Internet Cafe and the food services are located at the North Hall as well.

Over at the Moscone North, you can also register for the various conferences. They aren't what we call cheap, but the knowledge gained should be well worth the money. By the way, the Digital Photography Day is already sold out.

Exhibit hall passes are available for US$30 until January 8th, else it's US$45 if you buy it on the spot during the expo. Credit card or cash accepted.

This banner looks similar to the one we saw last year with the exception of the dates of course. Wait a second; this year's Macworld has even barely started! Talk about early preparation.

Let the Countdown Begin!

Enough of rumors and speculations as the keynote is almost upon us. From www.hardwarezone.com and HWM, that's all from us in the meantime. Stay tuned for our keynote coverage at the end of the day and of course the expo show floor following that.
