Life Can Be Simple According to Philips

It's A Simple Event, After All

It's A Simple Event, After All

The first Philips Simplicity Event took place in 2005 in Paris, France and this year, it was time for Moscow, Russia to take center stage and allow Philips to showcase its new collection of design concepts and products to illustrate Philips focus on its new theme entitled Healthy People, Healthy Living, Healthy Planet.

Rudy Provoost, CEO of Philips Lighting and Geert van Kuyck, CMO of Royal Philips Electronics welcome the media to the fourth Philips Simplicity Event.

The entire showcase was built around and presented in the form of 'future life scenarios' where actors demonstrated Philips concepts and brought them to life. As for the product launches, we got a hands-on experience with the next generation of Philips products coming to a local market soon.

Over the following pages, you will see concepts that were showcased and product launches as well as some products that may or may not enter our market in the near future. In the meantime, let's start the ball rolling with a little presentation of the Philips World.

The Light Blossom Concept

This miracle light worker is able to harness renewable energy by collecting energy from both the sun and the wind and thus provide truly green lighting while at the same time, supply power back to the grid!

The Green Cuisine Concept

With this concept, Philips hopes to take advantage of the way people behave, react and act around the kitchen, or more specifically the kitchen table. Eventually, Philips would like to educate the public in becoming more responsible and conscious of the way they consume their water, electricity, gas and food.

As the centerpiece of the demonstration, the Interactive Kitchen Table enables intuitive cooking thanks to its interface. Allowing several domestic products to work together, just about anyone can cook or cool their favorite food of choice.

Cooking tools can be randomly placed anywhere around the table and at a finger's gesture, food items can be warmed or cooled at any given time or moment.
