For those who are familiar with the 8-megapixel camera phone race, the LG KC910 Renoir should hardly be a stranger to you and it should be coming to our shores real soon. During the recent launch event, the Renoir was unveiled to the media and was presented as a device that captures your moments without compromising on your baggage.
Touted as the slimmest 8-megapixel camera phone to date, the Renoir also comes with a strong suite of connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPS with A-GPS and also Bluetooth 2.0 for data transfers. But beyond all the standard connection choices, LG has also positioned the Renoir as a multimedia device that is ready to entertain on the go. As such, we see the introduction of the Dolby Mobile audio engine on the Renoir, which might actually be the show stealer as we have experienced in our earlier review. Furthermore, LG makes a wise move (as most other manufacturers are) in providing customization to its interface. An example of that is the Widget feature that lets you drag and drop widgets that gives you direct access to stuff that matter to you the most, e.g. Calendar, Calls, Music etc.
For the eager beavers, you'll probably be pleased with the following news: the LG KC910 Renoir will be available at most retail stores in Singapore by this Saturday, 8th of November. And in conjunction with the lucky number its camera represents, it will be going for a recommended retail price of S$888. Perchance you are still contemplating on your next camera phone purchase, feel free to check out our thoughts here and for all you know, you may even be joining the queue for this new 8-megapixel camera phone from LG.
