Sharp's main focus at IFA 2006 is the complete AQUOS line-up of its Full HD (1080p) digital TVs, several communication devices, projectors and mobile phones.

Among the many TVs shown at Sharp's exhibit, the company's main thunder came from its 42" AQUOS LCD TV, which plugs the gap between its 65", 52", 46" and 37" model, thus completing its XD1E Full HD line-up. With 1080p display support for its full complement of AQUOS TVs in the bag, the line-up boasts contrast ratios of 1200:1 (native) and 6000:1 (dynamic). Best of all, the AQUOS TVs have a low pixel response time of just 6 milliseconds.

Powered by Danger's client-server software platform, the Sharp PV200 sidekick 3 is a communication device measuring 130 x 59 x 22mm and weighs 182g. As a phone, it gives you up to 4.5 hours talk-time and 72 hours standby on an 850/1800/1900MHz (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) frequency. Supporting miniSD and Bluetooth, the Sharp sidekick also comes with a 1.3-megapixel camera, QWERTY keyboard for your push-mails and web browser.
