HTC Touch Diamond2 & Touch Pro2 Unveiled

HTC's New Generation of Touch

How a year changes things! We've seen how Windows Mobile devices have rapidly made the shift from hardcore geek toys to must-have accessories for the stylish and successful. The latest slew of touch-screen multimedia smartphones are now a popular choice among phone buyers who seek a touch of fun, without compromising on business function.

Many would agree that the original HTC Touch Diamond spearheaded this revolution when it was introduced in June 2008, on the strength of its abstract looks and its TouchFLO 3D interface. This pad-like device was quickly followed by the Touch Pro, which added a QWERTY keyboard to the mix to help it carve out a niche in the high-end professional segment. Now HTC has launched the Touch Pro2 and Touch Diamond2, and we have discovered that their approach is certainly "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Here's where we share with you the highlights of the launch event and take a look at the fruit of HTC's evolutionary efforts.

All you QWERTY lovers, listen up: we're focusing on the Touch Pro2 in this round. For more on the Touch Diamond2 and a Windows Mobile OS 6.5 preview, head on over to our ZoneOut video.
