At an exclusive event held in partnership with Samsung Asia this evening, selected HardwareZone members were invited to be among the first in Singapore to test drive the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smarthphone. Slated to be available at all major telcos on 28 September, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has garnered much interest among consumers who prefer a phone with a larger screen and a stylus for taking notes. Besides the larger 5.7-inch screen with full HD resolution, the Note 3 comes packed with more features than ever. With just two days before its official launch, 50 lucky HardwareZone members were selected to attend this special hands-on session. Held at Samsung's office, members attended the event with their buddies and were handed the Galaxy Note 3 smartphone to test during the entire session.
The event kicked off with Mr. Chua Khim Guan, Product Marketing Manager for Samsung's mobile products, giving the members a thorough presentation of the new features found in the Galaxy Note 3.
Although the Galaxy Gear was not a part of the evening's planned programme, users at the event managed to get a glimpse of the Galaxy Gear smart watch in action.
The Galaxy Note 3 experience was not only limited to the smartphone and smart watch, but there was also an opportunity for users to see how the smartphone could integrate into the their home using the Samsung HomeSync media hub. Users were given a demonstration of the Android-powered media hub working seamlessly with the Galaxy Note 3, be it as a screen mirroring device or simply just watching movies, playing games or browsing the internet on your large screen TV.
The event ended with a lucky draw where Samsung gave out three sets of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3. We'd like to congratulate Mr. Tan Yu Xiang, Ms. Quek Mei Sing and Mr. Lim Zhi Hao, the three lucky winners who went home with a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone.
