To close off the semi-finals, each region produced 2 winners, who would be attending the grand finals in Singapore. The grand finals saw 10 contestants (two from each region) pitting themselves against each other in a battle, once more at the Funan DigitaLife Mall on the 12th of October 2008.
But what made the grand finals interesting, were the added elements of a performance:price ratio and a power consumption segment that add up to a chunk of the contestants final score. In essence, this would mean that a system that produces a higher performance at a lower cost would be more favorable to the contestants' final standing.
As such, all 10 competitors were given a choice of components, with the pricing of each component made known to them at the start. Finding the perfect balance for not only overclocking, but also the performance to price ratio, would be a arduous task, one that our contestants managed to live up to.
