Most of our loyal readers at HardwareZone.com would have heard about Sony Ericsson’s extensive lineup of mobile devices for 2010 including the highly anticipated Android-based Xperia X10 and its smaller cousins, the X10 mini and X10 pro, and the Vivaz and Vivaz pro, but a mention of words like “Elm”, “Hazel” or “Aspen” might leave them scratching their heads.
All three mobile phones are part of the environmentally-friendly GreenHeart portfolio that aims to provide users with the opportunity to make a conscious effort in keeping the world green without skimping on mobile functionality. While the Sony Ericsson Elm, Hazel and Apsen are equally exciting mobile phones, comparatively we feel they unfortunately rest in their counterparts' shadows but nonetheless deserve equal mention on our portal. So without any further ado...
The Sony Ericsson Elm and Hazel both provide better voice quality with Noise Shield, Clear Voice and Intelligence Volume adaption. Both phones will be shipped with a GreenHeart accessory, the Stereo Portable Handsfree HPM-60J as well as the EP300 low power consumption charger.
The Elm, seen below, has a 2.2-inch 262,144-color TFT screen. The phone will be available in Metal Black and Pearly Rose from Q1 2010. Price TBA.
The Hazel, seen below, has a slightly larger 2.6-inch 16 million colors TFT screen with a slide-out body. Physical differences aside, the two phones are almost identical in features. The device will be retailed in Superior Black and Passionate Rouge from Q2 2010, price TBA.
The Sony Ericsson Aspen is what we term a versatile business phone with a big heart. While it comes equipped with the latest version of the Windows OS, a QWERTY keyboard and a 2.4-inch touch screen, the Aspen also boasts of a power saving mode, an Eco mate application and compatibility with the Energy Saving Mini-Charger EP800, allowing users a fully functional mobile experience while being eco-friendly. Like the Hazel, the Aspen will be available from Q2 in both Iconic Black and White Silver. Price TBA.
All three phones are also compatible with the Bluetooth Noise Shield Handsfree VH700, another Greenheart accessory.
