Gear this week: BMW-inspired shoes, small camera with huge quality, and more

Hasselblad X1D

Medium format means large and clunky right? Well, not if you're talking about Hassleblad's latest X1D-50c. It packs a 50MP medium format sensor in a mirrorless camera body that weighs just 725g, and measures 150 x 98 x 71 mm, making it no larger or heavier than a regular DSLR. Medium format level dynamic range with a full 14 stops of dynamic range in a small(er) body. Now that's a game changer.

Puma X-CAT DISC

The Puma X-CAT DISC is a gleaming, futuristic pair of shoes inspired by the BMW GINA Light Visionary Model; a concept car with a seamless, flexible, fabric outer shell. The X-CAT is built with the flexible GINA material, and works with Puma's DISC internal wiring system to open and close the shoe.

Vornado VFan

The Vornado VFan harkens back to the company's earliest roots. The VFan is a tribute to the first Vornadofan from 1945, complete with its classic design. It comes with yesterday's looks but today's technology, packing Vornado's signature vortex action, which circulates air around the entire room.

You can get the Vornado VFan from Amazon (but be aware of the different voltage and plug).

Pebble Core

At its very core (sorry not sorry), the Pebble Core is a fitness tracker with an Android 5.0 computer. It's sized like an electronic key fob, because Pebble felt that the Core’s form factor is “a better experience” for running, as opposed to carrying a smartphone. With 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, it supports Spotify streaming, location and route tracking via GPS, and it has Emergency SOS for runners in trouble.

DJI Matrice 600

Built for industrial and professional aerial photography applications, the DJI M600 features an extended flight time and a 5km long-range, ultra-low latency HD image transmission system that easily meets the requirements of professional broadcasting. Meanwhile, a six-battery power system allows you to check the battery status in real-time during flight, while also keeping the system to stay in the air in the event of the failure of a single battery.
