A Fresh New Take

A Fresh New Take

Held at the Velvet Underground, Zouk's sister club at Jiak Kim Street, Fujitsu's event showcased the latest products from the Japanese company, including older models given the Intel Centrino 2 treatment. Of course, the highlight of the show was the newer L1010 notebooks, a 14.1-inch model that's targeted at the Gen Y market. Individuality plays a big role in their design concepts this time around, so the L1010 will sport a range of five different colors with really funky choices in between the normal black and white choices.

And by funky we mean Austin Powers version of shagadelic colors: White and Pink Gold, Turquoise Blue, Pink and the most awesome of them all: Purple. We kid you not. With prices starting at S$1688 for the model without discrete graphics and S$1988 for the one with a NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS graphics chipset, the new L1010 notebooks are a decent choice for new users and those looking for an upgrade.

All the pretty colors of the rainbow! Well not quite that, but you know what we mean.

The L1010 also sports a few cool innovative design features like a non visible hinge (when the unit is closed), a glossy top cover an etched Fujitsu Infinity logo. It's size and weight (2.5kg) will make this an ideal choice for students and trendsetters.
