The ASUS ROG G750 gaming notebook features the latest 4th-generation Intel 'Haswell' mobile processor, in addition to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 700M series graphics chip. It sports a 17.3-inch full HD, anti-glare display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It can support up to 32GB DDR3 SDRAM for its system memory.

The ASUS ROG G750 gaming notebook is powered by a 4th-generation Intel Core i7 mobile CPU and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M graphics.

The specifications of the gaming rig are as follows:-

Model ASUS ROG G750
Processor 4th-generation Intel Core mobile processor

Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 700M series
Storage up to 2TB each (for a pair of 5,400rpm HDDs), up to 1.5TB (for a 7,200rpm HDD and 256GB SSD combination)

Weight 4.00kg

In terms of storage options, the gaming notebook can support up to a pair of 2TB 5,400rpm HDDs. Its two drive bays can also accommodate a 7,200rpm HDD, with maximum capacity of 1TB and a 256GB SSD. One of the unique design features of the G750 is its rear fan chamber, with its front-facing vents, which juts out beyond the hinge of display panel.

The air vents of the fan chamber point to the rear so that the discharge of hot air will not be from the sides of the G750.

The display lid has a rubberized feel and opens up to house a full-sized QWERTY keyboard with chiclet-style keys. The brushed aluminum keyboard tray has ample space for a large touchpad that seats in the middle of the wrist rest. The keyboard has a white LED backlight that can be turned on for usage in the low light.

The keyboard tray has a brushed aluminium finish and its chiclet-style keys have white LED backlight for use in the dark.

The connectivity and I/O ports options on its right include two audio jacks, a pair of USB 3.0 ports, mini-DisplayPort, HDMI-1.4 port, an RJ-45 Gigabit LAN port, and a D-Sub port.

The connectivity options and ports that are found on the right side of the ASUS G750.

On the other side, we see another pair of USB 3.0 ports and a Blueray/DVD combo drive. The G750 boasts of ASUS SonicMaster audio technology that boosts game sound performance. The G750 is packed with an eight-cell battery pack with a capacity of 89wh (watt-hour). The unit weighs a hefty 4kg, with dimensions of 410- x 318- x 50mm (width-depth-height).

On the left side of the GT750, there is a pair of USB 3.0 ports and a Blueray/DVD combo optical drive.

The ASUS ROG G750 appears to have the bells and whistles to appeal to gamers, especially with its latest hardware in terms of processor and graphics chip. Its full HD display has a nice viewing angle and the chiclet-style keys had ample bounce but they felt more suitable for office productivity work, rather than a round of hardcore gaming. As usual, the pricing details of the G750 weren't available but we guess it should be in the range of around S$3,500 like most 17.3-inch gaming rigs.
