The ShowStoppers @CES exhibition is an event that's actually not part of CES 2011, but it's held there at the same time and gives vendors who may not be exhibiting at CES 2011 a chance to interact with selected press members. With our RSVP in hand, we trawled the ballroom of Wynn Las Vegas Hotel to see what these vendors have in store for us.

RealNetworks shows off its new Unifi cloud based media storage system that allows you to stream you content via the cloud. Beta starts soon, so keep an eye out for the registration. You get 2GB basic storage free, with more storage requiring paid subscriptions, of course.

Wondering around the ballroom led us to Intel's booth and this sweet looking Chrome OS notebook.

GM's EN-V concept car is freaking cool. Uses lithium-ion batteries and produces zero emission (though this is not counting the electric power plant that generates the electricity to charge the car).

Andrea Electronics has a pretty nifty headset, the SuperBeam headset that does away with boom mikes by relying on stereo array microphones that form a beam towards a person's mouth while ignoring noise outside the beam area. Cool? We thought so.

The TyPad, a iPad casing that has a built-in Bluetooth keyboard that was soft to the touch but felt remarkably good to type on with our fingers. Cases for the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the RIM Playbook will be available in the first half of 2011.

Hey, it's the HP dm1 and this thin and light netbook uses AMD's latest Brazos platform. The base model will retail for only just US$450. The netbook will also come with SSD options, though obviously it won't cost US$450 anymore.
