Acer's booth was primarily about home entertainment and mobile computing.

At the center of its booth is Acer's idea of a modern household powered by none other than Acer products of course.

The Acer Aspire 9110 is the first of Acer's HD (high-definition) notebook series. This has a 15.4-inch WXGA TFT LCD boasting 16ms pixel response time, NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 GPU with 256MB DDR2 VRAM that is more than capable of hardware acceleration for WMV HD, H.264, VC-1, and other high-definition content. It's also Dolby Digital Live ready out of the box.

At the mammoth end of the HD series is the Aspire 9800. This goliath of a notebook has a 20.1-inch WXSGA+ high-brightness TFT LCD that is lit by 6 lamps. Components such as a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 GPU with 256MB DDR2 VRAM and dual SATA hard disk drives amounting to 240GB with RAID ensure you'll only be entertained and satisfied with what looks certain to be a hefty investment.

Winner of the 2006 Red Dot Design Award for innovation, functionality, and value is the Aspire E650. Powered by Intel Viiv technology means you can expect the system to come with a full-function remote control, dual-core processor, multi-channel audio support, and advanced graphics. In addition, you'll get Acer's in-house suite of system and data management software. Sweet.
