Garmin, Holux and Shinco

Garmin

While it's pretty hard to get lost in Singapore, it's always handy to have a GPS device around. Hence, we made a stop at the Garmin booth to check out some of these personal navigation devices.

The Garmin nuvi 3790 has a display resolution of 800 x 480, and is touted to be one of the thinnest GPS devices out there. Equipped with multi-touch and 3D landmarks, the nuvi 3790 is priced at $579.

If you need something more compact, the Garmin nuvi 1250 fits the bill at a price of $179. It's also loaded with practical features such as ecoRoute for a fuel efficient route.

Holux

Next up, we have some Holux GPS devices. Seen here is the Holux i6800, a 5" GPS device with a display resolution of 800 x 480. To top it off, you get a FM transmitter within, all for the price of $259.

Like the Holux i6800t, the Holux 62F is powered by the Galactio V8 interface, and has a similar 5" display. To make it more enticing, this GPS device is priced at an affordable $199 (usual price $259).

Shinco

Our final stop at the GPS booths revealed a few Shinco GPS devices. Firstly, the Shinco SLIM-4380BEE, with a 4.3" display running on a Samsung S3C 2443 400MHz processor, is priced at $199 (usual price $299). For every purchase of a Shinco GPS device, you'll also get a free Bluetooth handsfree set.

Sharing similar features to the Shinco SLIM-4380BEE minus Bluetooth support, the Shinco GM-4368BEE is a more affordable option at $159, and comes with more storage options such as an expandable microSD card slot and a built-in FM transmitter.
