MSI's Booth (continued)

The new MSI K9N Platinum is based very much on the success of MSI's previous K8N Platinum. Supporting SLI graphics, this new entry is now equipped with DDR2 support through AMD's upcoming Socket M2 processors.

Information about this new Socket M2 micro-ATX board (K9AGM) is rather limited but we do know it's an integrated graphics solution based on an ATI chipset. It comes with a very standard set of features which you could easily tell from the picture.

If there's an integrated ATI graphics solution for the Socket M2, then you can expect a similar solution based on an NVIDIA integrated chipset such as this MSI K9NGM.

Here's a closer look at the new Socket M2. It's very much similar to the current Socket-939 layout and you would easily mistaken it as a Socket-939 if you don't pay attention to the wordings on the socket or the pin locations on the corners of the socket.

Looks like MSI will be offering boards based on SiS chipsets again. The new MSI 649 Neo-V is based on the SiS 649 chipset supporting either PCI Express graphics or AGP graphics cards. A board meant for the budget upgraders, it comes with only very basic features.
