This app lets you exercise your creative chops in stitching together your own take of scenes in the Star Wars universe. You get to play director here and choose from a variety of settings, characters and weapons. But it doesn’t stop there, and you can control all the action, add the dialog, and even select the soundtrack. Three in-app virtual cameras allow you to record the scene from multiple angles, and if the film dialog isn’t to your liking, you can record your own voice and put it in any character’s mouth. So if you always fancied seeing Darth Vader fight alongside Luke Skywalker, you can make it happen now. |

This is the app for all Jedi (or Sith) wannabes. Not all of us can afford to do battle with replica lightsabers from the likes of Ultra Sabers, and this may just be the next best thing. You can customize your onscreen lightsaber with different crystals to change the color or swap out the hilt for a more unique look. There’s even the option for dual-blade sabers if you fancy yourself a 21st-century Darth Maul. You’ll be able to battle with friends and family who have also downloaded the app, and the phone’s camera will flash when you make virtual contact, complete with a wide range of sound effects. Of course, you’ll need a good dose of imagination to use this, but sometimes nothing brings out your inner child better than the thought of doing battle among the stars. |
