HZA 2001 - HardwareZone's annual event
This year's HardwareZone Awards 2001 was held at the Merchant Court hotel on the 23rd of January. Attended by manufacturers and distributors, the event aims to give recognition to product excellence. The awards began months ago with the community casting their votes on products which they feel are worthy of the award. The final nominees were then rounded-up based on the number of votes from the community and were then given a final round of testing at Hardware Zone's Reviews Lab.

Winners were decided based on its performance, ease of use, features, innovation and value. We had more categories this year, as many as 39 of them, totaling more than 150 products, tested by our team of dedicated reviewers. Another 6 categories were voted by the community through an online poll conducted in HardwareZone.

The event was graced by Assoc. Prof. Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister of State, Ministry of Community Development and Sports. A member of Parliament of Jalan Besar GRC, he found the Sim Lim Square pricelist feature at HardwareZone's website useful.

This year, HardwareZone Awards 2001 was proudly supported by Central Singapore Community Development Council , InoArts and Techmen.
