The Contestant's Modded Rig - Part 4

Behold the Temple Of The King by Vincent Koh Chaik Chuan. It is an artistic piece of work with a lot of thought put into the design and overall finish.

At a touch of a button, the Pyramid opens up to reveal the stacked system design within! The bottom most layer is where the servo and pulleys are affixed to control the open and closure of the pyramid sides. The next layer up is the system board, and the layer above is the optical drive and at the top is the hard drive.

Here is the rear-end of the pyramid with all the exhausts and I/O ports.

A close-up shot of the interior.

Another side view of the interior.

For system security, he even integrated a Biometric fingerprint scanner.

The control panel up-front.

Vincent also ‘mummified’ the keyboard and mouse to suit his case-mod theme!

Last but not least, we have the controversial Windmill PC that had been the talk of our forums when the competition was drawing near. Pretty neat work of art, don’t you think so?

The turf looks so fresh that you wouldn’t suspect that the heart of the system is just underneath it.

Notice the optical drive bay with its ‘grass’ faceplate? Well, that’s one faceplate you can’t get anywhere off the shelves. In the windmill tower is the power supply unit and the hard drive. Oh by the way, the windmill does rotate thanks to a strategically placed system exhaust fan that gives just enough force to rotate the windmill.

The ‘water trough’ shown here exhausts warm air pulled out from the system base (under the turf) and its exhaust was responsible for powering the windmill. The cows weren’t there only for decoration, but double up as power and reset buttons. And no, we weren’t kidding!

If you thought the barn was for decoration, you would be surprised to know that it conceals the CPU’s HSF and exhaust. Nice touch indeed.

Nobody would have figured that this was a PC in disguise if it weren’t for the Windmill’s rear-I/O.

The creator of the Windmill PC is Moh Boon Howe (a.k.a. Mohawks) and he went through great lengths to get his case-mod finished in the midst of his mischievous year-old son who only had a one-track mind of taking the Windmill apart!
