OK, here's our final page and although there were still a lot of good bargains going in some corners of the exhibition halls, we'll end our coverage this year with these other interesting promotions and events happening at Sitex.

At Corbell's booth, this nifty little portable DVD player with a 7-inch TFT screen was going at only S$259. It plays MPEG-4 and DivX formatted videos and it comes with a car bag, a car adaptor and an earpiece.

Digital video editing enthusiasts and professionals ought to check out these Sony software promotions. Professional software like Vegas 6, ACID Pro 5 and Sound Forge 8 are available.

Fancy using a digital lock in your home? The LEO Plus keyless door lock uses fingerprint recognition to unlock the door. Of course, if in the rare event that it doesn't recognize your print, you can always unlock it using a PIN code. This device can store up to 99 fingerprints.

The Secuphone is both a telephone and a high-tech security equipment which detects intruders. When switched to the security mode, it will detect intruders via its infrared sensor and if an intruder is spotted within 7 meters, it will automatically alert the owner by calling his/her mobile phone. The owner will then have the option to listen to the surrounding, speak to the intruder through the speaker phone, or activate the Secuphone's siren.

In the normal phone mode, the Secuphone is just like any other normal household phone.

Although there weren't many inkjet printers in Sitex, you can still check out some of Canon's latest bargains at ATF Multimedia's booth. Canon is offering cashback rebates of up to S$80 for some of its latest PIXMA printers.

Temasek Polytechnic had a showcase of the future of an intelligent gym center which utilizes RFID technology to identify the user and his/her preferences. The idea is to use RFID to track a person's progress in the gym, equipment usage, personal training scheduling and even preferences for music and movies while the person exercises.

If you're tired of shopping, you could always watch the ongoing LAN gaming tournament at our GameAxis booth. The qualification rounds for the Starhub Masters Series will take place during Sitex, so don't miss out the action there. Of course, you can also learn a thing or two... who knows, you might be the next champion.

On the first day of Sitex, the Wolf Claw Hunting Season event took place and there were about S$8000 worth of prizes to be won. The game played during the event was Quake 4. These PCs were equipped with the latest Wolf Claw keyboard for gamers to try out during the entire duration of Sitex.

Here's a closer look at the Wolf Claw - the keyboard for gamers.

That's all we have folks! Happy bargain hunting and you can be sure that we'll be back again in 2006 with the next local show coverage.
