L.A.-based tech consumer tech industry analyst Paul Mueller has claimed there are "iPad prototypes being worked on at Apple that have 16:9 screen ratios" during a chat with the Examiner. TechCrunch reports.
Google announced yesterday that its app store, Google Play hit 25 billion downloads. As part of its celebrations, Google is offering selected apps for just 25 cents for the next five days.

Google Maps is arguably one of the most sought-after digital maps on the planet. To demonstrate just how dedicated they are, Google has unveiled their first underwater Street View collection.
Users are definitely not happy with the performance of Maps in iOS 6, which Apple has stated they are in the process of improving. Unfortunately for them Google will not be lending a helping hand.

HP has added new Windows 8 desktops for consumers and business-minded users, as well as two HP Pavilion Sleekbooks. This is in additional to their earlier announced Windows 8 All-in-One (AIO) desktops systems.
LG has announced the LG Optimus Vu II, with availability slated for September in Korea. Little hardware specs have been revealed so far but the device is said to come equipped with NFC capabilities and a built-in IR blaster. More leaked specs point to an Android 4.0 build and 2GB of RAM.
Adobe has released a new tool for web development in the form of Edge Animate. The software helps develop interactive content on the web in HTML5 and will be available as a free download for a limited time period.
