Xbox One Launch Delayed in Eight European Countries

Microsoft has just announced that eight European countries will not be getting the Xbox One this Christmas. Although Microsoft did not specifically state why, but they did say that it was due to "many factors", including localized Xbox One dash support, additional voice and language packs, and finalizing app partnerships in each country.

A Microsoft spokesperson has this to say:

"We understand this will be disappointing news for our fans in the impacted countries, and we are doing everything we can to bring Xbox One to you as soon as possible next year."

The affected countries are Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland. The launch of the Xbox One in these countries have been pushed back to 2014 but no exact date has been given.

If it is any consolation, Asia will only be getting the Xbox One in late 2014.
