Shure has just introduced its latest flagship in-ear monitors. The SE846 features a Quad High-Definition MicroDrivers (using four balanced armature drivers) with True Subwoofer design and uses a three-way system configuration. Through an innovative low-pass filter, it enables ~3dB low-end roll-off at 90Hz (~10dB at 250Hz). According to Shure, this is possible thanks to ten precision-welded, stainless steel plates that form four inches of high acoustic mass pathway for the low frequency to start rolling off at about 75Hz. The result is a ‘true subwoofer’ performance.

Lightweight with a low profile shape, Shure’s latest high-end in-ears have an optimized nozzle angle designed to rest comfortably in the ear. Available in a clear shell, the SE846 comes with three changeable nozzles. The different nozzles allow you to easily customize your listening experience by selecting the nozzle insert with the frequency response you prefer - available in balanced, warm and bright options. A detachable cable for easy replacement and an accessory package that includes three pairs of disposable black foam sleeves, three pairs of soft flex sleeves, and a carrying case are also included.

The SE846 has a suggested retail price of US$949. It comes with a one-year limited warranty and will begin shipping in June in Asia. For a list of retail locations, visit www.shure.com/asia.
