New Nokia Lumia 620 WP8 Device Unveiled at LeWeb 2012

Rumors of a WP7.8 successor to the affordable Nokia Lumia 610 have been floating on the internet since early-Sept this year, and the Finnish company has put an end to the rumors just today at the LeWeb 2012 event. The Nokia Lumia 620 will be a Windows Phone 8 device, and stands alongside its siblings, the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820, as an affordable offering. The device will be offered in seven colors (lime green, orange, magenta, yellow, cyan, white and black) with exchangeable shells, boasting of bodies that showcase a new dual-shot color technique that deliver "striking color and texture effects". The Nokia Lumia 620 will include:

  • 3.8-inch TFT WVGA ClearBlack display / 800x480 pixels
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core 1GHZ S4 processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 8GB mass memory (Micro SD support up to 64GB) + 7GB free Microsoft SkyDrive storage
  • 5-megapixel / autofocus, LED flash, VGA (front-facing)
  • 1300mAh

Estimated at USD 249, excluding taxes and subsidies, the Nokia Lumia 620 will begin selling in January 2013 in Asia, followed closely by Europe and the Middle East before expanding further.
