Designed to be a full-featured, energy efficient storage solution for SMEs, the DS213+ boasts AES 256-bit encrypted read and write speeds of 49.6MBps and 24.7MBps respectively. Powered by a dual-core 1.067GHz processor and running on the DSM 4.0, the DS213+ features an average read speed of 110.36MBps and write speed at 84.31MBps under RAID 1 configuration in a Windows environment.

The NAS includes a 64-bit floating-point unit to substantially accelerate decoding and encoding process, and delivers an upgraded surveillance solution that streams 12 channels of high definition IP camera simultaneously to maximize all business security needs. With an SD card slot, one eSATA port, two USB 3.0 ports, and a hot-swappable hard drive feature, it comes equipped with a 92mm system fan, improving overall airflow and minimizing noise levels to 19.9dBA.

The System Hibernation mode reduces power consumption, and is designed to actively listen for network activities to quickly resume the system back to full operations. In comparison to system shutdown, System Hibernation brings a closer balance between smart energy management and system responsiveness.
