Atlas Sound & Vision Launches First Wireless Headphones from Bose

Atlas Sound & Vision has introduced the first stereo Bluetooth wireless headphones from Bose - the AE2w Bluetooth headphones, joining the Bose Around-Ear family of AE2 and AE2i headphones.

With a detachable, battery-powered Bluetooth module on the left ear cup weighing no more than the cable it replaces, users can now enjoy audio with wireless around-ear headphones which stay comfortable for long periods of time. Utilizing exclusive Bose technologies to deliver improved audio performance over conventional stereo wireless headphones, the Bose TriPort technology and proprietary active equalization creates deep lows and more lifelike sound when listening to music or watching videos.

Optimized for use with an iPad, the AE2w headphones are compatible with hands-free or headset mobile Bluetooth devices using Bluetooth v2.0 and above, with specifications that support the A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile). The intuitive UI makes it easy to operate certain iPad functions directly from the headphones, with no disruption to listening or viewing.

Pairing is simple: a device connects wirelessly by pressing two buttons on the headphones’ Bluetooth module, and two sources can be connected simultaneously. This means that a user can seamlessly switch between videos or music on an iPad and taking calls on a smartphone via the headphones’ microphone.

The wireless signal works up to just over 9m from the device for an unplugged experience, and an integrated rechargeable battery provides at least seven hours of listening, or over 200 hours in standby mode. If the battery power runs out or there is no Bluetooth connectivity, an included audio cable effortlessly replaces the detachable Bluetooth module.

The AE2w headphones charge via a USB cable, and LED and audio indicators provide power, battery life and connection status. When using an Apple iOS device, an iOS battery meter will display the battery level of the headphones on the source device itself. For added convenience, a fold-flat ear cup design fits neatly into a custom travel bag for protected transport while on the go.

The Bose AE2w Bluetooth headphones are now available from Atlas Sound & Vision for S$349.
