Samsung confirmed that its profits have taken a huge hit as a result of the Galaxy Note7 recall. The company posted around US$4.7 billion in operating profit for Q3, down about US$1.93 billion from the same period last year.

While Xiaomi's Mi Note 2 was the main focus of today's Xiaomi event, the unexpected unveiling of the futuristic Mi MIX smartphone stole the show. While the phone is about the same size as an iPhone 7 Plus, its edge-to-edge design lets it pack in a 6.4-inch display.
Xiaomi has unveiled the successor to last year's Mi Note, the Mi Note 2. Xiaomi's flagship phablet has a 5.7-inch dual-curved FHD display with a flexible OLED panel and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
iOS 10.1 is now available and finally brings Portrait mode to iPhone 7 Plus users, adding a background blurring bokeh mode.
